EPA RRP Compliance
Sanding, cutting and demolition can create hazardous lead dust and chips by disturbing lead paint. Even tiny amounts of lead dust will poison children and adults. To protect against this risk, the EPA issued the new RRP rule (Renovation, Repair and Painting) requiring the use of lead-safe work practices. Under the new rule, contractors must be RRP certified if they are going to disturb more than 6 square feet of lead paint in homes and child occupied facilities. The ZipWall dust barrier system helps contractors meet these lead dust containment requirements. The system is also compatible with negative air should that be used on site.
