ZipWall 12 6-Pack

ZipWall® 12 spring-loaded dust barrier poles are designed for the professional contractor. They are easy to use, easy to store, and a significant time saver! These poles are strong and lightweight, telescope up to 12 feet high and twist to lock. Each spring-loaded pole takes seconds to set up without a ladder. The innovative non-skid, non-marking head locks the barrier material, allowing it to be raised with the pole, and holds it securely in place without damaging the ceiling. A tight dust barrier can be set up in just a few minutes, one pole at a time, without ladders, tape, or damage.

The ZipWall® 12 poles are the prime ZipWall® poles. Anodized aluminum construction makes them sturdier than stainless steel, smoother to raise and to lock, and the best foundation for ZipWall® accessories like FoamRail™ tapeless seals. These poles are built for heavy use and their size is perfect for both residential and commercial jobs.

A 20 foot anodized aluminum pole is also available.

Six poles can be used to create a dust barrier up to 50 feet wide, or a three-sided room-within-a-room with two poles to spare. The 6-Pack is a great way to get started with the ZipWall® Dust Barrier System, or to add to an existing set of ZipWall® dust barrier poles.

SidePack Wall Mount Kit

After a dust barrier is in place, it can be sealed more tightly using FoamRail™ tapeless seals. The SidePack™ kit contains everything you need to seal a barrier along two walls up to 9 feet each.

Each SideClamp™ wall mount snaps onto a FoamRail™ tapeless seal. When mounted on the ZipWall® pole closest to the wall, the rail presses the barrier material against the wall and forms a tight seal. The SidePack™ kit can seal two walls up to 9 feet high each. It comes with a handy carry bag, ready for the next job.

Contents Six 3 foot FoamRail™ tapeless seals with T-Clips™, six SideClamp™ wall mounts, and a carry bag.

Attach each of the SideClamp™ wall mounts to a FoamRail™ tapeless seal, and mount it onto the pole closest to the wall.

Start at the bottom and work your way up. The rails can easily be overlapped if necessary.

Setting Up A Dust Barrier


Tips for setting up a dust barrier

  • When using plastic, cut it to size ahead of time.
  • Set up the barrier one pole at a time starting at the wall. Leave the plastic loose at the bottom and make sure the spring at the top of the pole is not compressed all the way.

 
Once ALL poles are in place, do the following:

  • Tuck the plastic under each pole.
  • Place a GRIP DISK on the floor under the pole.
  • Compress the spring at the top of each pole all the way up.

 
IMPORTANT: Placing a GripDisk™ non-skid pad under each pole ensures the barrier will stay securely in place even on smooth floors or when used with negative air pressure.
