NEW! 2 MagStrip™ Dust Barrier Fastener 4-Packs

Once a dust barrier is held up securely with ZipWall® poles, MagStrips are a great way to keep the barrier tight between poles when working with a drop-ceiling. They are fast to mount and remove, and do not require ladders or tape – a dramatic time saving and safety improvement compared to tape, zip-ties or other commonly used methods.

To attach the magnetic strips, mount the provided applicator on any ZipWall® pole. Place each strip on top of the applicator and raise it to the ceiling using the pole as a handle. The strong magnets will attach to the grid, securely holding the barrier material against the ceiling, and allowing you to easily pull off the applicator.

You can also use the applicator to safely remove the magnetic strips.

Key features:

  • Fast to set up and remove
  • Magnetic strips snap onto the steel grid
  • Applicator works with any ZipWall® pole
  • Reusable and professional
  • No ladders, no tape, no damage

Contents: Eight 26″ magnetic strips and two applicators for use with a pole. Pole not included.

2 Edge™ Heads & Non-Skid Plates

The Edge™ Head & Non-Skid Plate is specially designed not to lift the grid at the edge of a drop-ceiling. Works with all ZipWall® spring-loaded poles. Note: For use on the first and last poles only. Use standard head & plates for all other poles.

Contents: Two heads and  non-skid plates for where a drop-ceiling meets the wall.

Tips for setting up a dust barrier

  • When using plastic, cut it to size ahead of time.
  • Set up the barrier one pole at a time starting at the wall. Leave the plastic loose at the bottom and make sure the spring at the top of the pole is not compressed all the way.

Once ALL poles are in place, do the following:

  • Tuck the plastic under each pole.
  • Place a GRIP DISK on the floor under the pole.
  • Compress the spring at the top of each pole all the way up.

IMPORTANT: Placing a GripDisk™ non-skid pad under each pole ensures the barrier will stay securely in place even on smooth floors or when used with negative air pressure.

Edge Head & Plate

When working with a drop-ceiling, use an Edge™ head and plate on the first and last pole. Standard heads and plates may be used on all other poles between them.

  1. Attach an Edge™ head & plate to the top of a ZipWall® spring-loaded pole
  2. Slide the plate off the head
  3. Bring the barrier material over the head
  4. Replace the plate over the head, pressing the pegs with the barrier material through the snaps
  5. Slide the plate to lock the barrier material onto the pole
  6. Set the pole up next to the wall
